And welcome to the first edition of the National Butterfly Center’s e-newsletter. We’re calling this communication Nectar, because we hope it will feed your continued interest in the wonderful world of butterflies. In this issue, you will find our first survey, some interesting stuff, including staff photos, and a special invitation to join us in membership and keep us growing! Your participation is invaluable —and so greatly appreciated! Saludos! Please take a few minutes to respond to our short survey. All respondents will be entered in a drawing, and one lucky winner will receive a free copy of A Swift Guide to Butterflies of North America, just in time for the holidays. If you follow us on Facebook, you’re used to seeing the pictures we post of butterflies, birds, and other special visitors. It’s when we wind down from the festivals of October and November, and look forward to future growth prospects. Specifically, we are developing features, activities and attractions that will enhance the NBC and ensure we have the feeding and breeding habitat essential to sustaining our ‘winged wonders’. We’d like you to be a part of this process, too, and invite you to join the NBC, today. Please consider a gift for yourself, or a loved one, of membership. Joining the NBC as an individual starts at just $35, with family and other options available to meet your need and intention. Thank you for considering an investment in the NBC. Your generosity will provide for our natural treasures, and plant seeds of appreciation for years to come! If
