Native Plant Nursery

Bring South Texas habitat home.
The National Butterfly Center’s Native Plant Nursery offers a diverse selection of plants for creating beautiful, wildlife-friendly landscapes in the Rio Grande Valley. From flowering plants and ground covers to shrubs and trees, our nursery can help you create habitat for butterflies, birds, bees, and other wildlife.
Whether you’re starting your first butterfly garden, adding host and nectar plants to an existing landscape, or looking for native plants suited to South Texas, we’re happy to help you get started.
What You’ll Find
Our nursery selection changes throughout the year and may include native trees, shrubs, ground covers, flowering plants, butterfly host plants, and nectar sources. Because availability changes with the seasons and our inventory, not every species is available at all times.
